The last time I was in the store was over a month ago, at that time multiple customers came and left because of no inventory.
Info I have is that the CEO refused to allow orders and drained the bank account daily to bleed it dry.
When you remove liquidity from a business you doom it to failure. But you are correct whomever said the prior owner got out at the right time.
2 other very well funded grow store operations came to town the same time as Donnell. Grow Warehouse and Grow it Your Way. Huge inventories and buying power of bulk orders.
The lil store on the east side of town serviced a large following of eastern plains farmers. They liked the small store and personal attention and service they received. But when the needed supplies that they used every year wear not available. They had no choice but to shop else where.
It was painful to watch a fine young man have to make excuses to loyal customers as to why he was unable to provide them their basics needs, equipment, and supplies.
This CEO hung him out to dry.
